Dollar Tree Patriotic Round
I always get asked to make patriotic craft pieces, and this Dollar Tree Patriotic Round was the last one I was asked to make. When the Fourth of July starts to head our way, I try and knock out as may patriotic crafts as possible, because I never have enough for the demand I have for them. Patriotic crafts are definitely some of my favorite to make and this one is no exception! Follow along, you will not be disappointed!

Supplies:
Dollar Tree Wood Round
Wooden Star
Spackling – for hole in star
Antique Wax, Stencil
Paints- Almondine, Deep Burgundy, Deep Midnight Blue

First, I filled in the hole with the spackle, I then painted the wooden star with the Deep Midnight Blue Paint.

Second, the wood round already had defined lines through it so, I alternated the Deep Burgundy, and the Almondine paint colors. I then painted the rim of the wood round with the Deep Midnight Blue Paint.

Third, I taped down my “1776/Star” stencil onto the painted star, and used the Almondine paint to stencil the design on.

Fourth, I glued the star to the center of the wood round.

Finally, I gave the beads on the hanger a coating of the Antique Wax.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I am absolutely in love with this piece, I think it came out amazing! This has to be one of my most favorite patriotic craft projects I’ve done in quite a while. I think the star in the center really just ties the whole theme of the project together! Do you think you’ll give this Dollar Tree Patriotic Round a try too?
