Dollar Tree Pumpkin Duo
When Fall comes around I love using pumpkins in my craft projects! On my latest supply fun into my local Dollar Tree I came across this pumpkin duo and grabbed a couple, knowing I would definitely be making something with them. I decided on this design for this Dollar Tree Pumpkin Duo to use on my first project, and I think it came out amazing! Come check it out!
Supplies:
Dollar Tree Pumpkin Duo
Fall Napkin
Burlap
Twine
Blessed Cut Out
Raffia
Buttons
White and Marigold Paint
First, I took the pumpkins apart and scraped the designs off then gave them a sanding.
Second, I cut a piece of burlap to fit the smaller pumpkin, and used Mod Podge to adhere it to the pumpkin.
Third, I wrapped twine around the stem of that pumpkin.
Fourth, I painted the larger pumpkin White and then once that was dry gave it a coating of Mod Podge.
Fifth, I opened up the Fall napkin and laid it out over the Mod Podge covered pumpkin. I then trimmed off all the excess napkin. Finally I wrapped the stem of this napkin with the twine.
Sixth, I glued the small pumpkin back to the larger pumpkin.
Seventh, I painted the “Blessed” cutout with Marigold Paint.
Eighth, I used some Fall colored Raffia, tied them into bows, and glued them to each pumpkin.
Finally, I glued the “Blessed” cutout to the center of the burlap covered pumpkin.
Here it is all finished, how do you like the final result? I definitely think it’s better than how I bought it, and I think it will be a big hit once I bring it into the store. Fall projects defiantly fly off the shelf especially Pumpkins. I Know I like to use pumpkins decorating in the Fall, how about you? Do you think you’ll give this Dollar Tree Pumpkin Duo a shot too?
