Dollar Tree Wooden Patriotic Tag

I was recently on the hunt for supplies for some of my patriotic craft ideas, when I came across this tag at my local Dollar Tree. I’d recently purchased some wooden cutouts and knew that I could use them with this tag. This is the time of year when I get into my zone crafting for the Fourth of July, along with my Summer time ideas! When the idea for this Dollar Tree Wooden Patriotic Tag came to me, I couldn’t wait to get started on it! I hope you follow along and decide you want to give one of these a go too!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree Wood Tag
Striped Paper
Hobby Lobby Mini Wood Cutouts
Patriotic Ribbon – Joann’s
Hobby Lobby Star Button
Twine
White and Blue Paint

First, I removed the twine hanger and then, I painted the tag with the white paint.

Second, I selected the “4” from the wooden cutouts and painted that blue.

Third, I traced and cut a piece of the striped paper and used Mod Podge to secure it to the tag. I then glued the number 4 to the bottom corner.

Fourth, I tied a new piece of twine through the hole for the hanger.

Fifth, I cut a piece of the patriotic ribbon and tied a small piece of twine around the center creating a bow. I then glued it just under the twine hanger.

Finally, I glued the star button to the center of the bow.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I love this craft, it is so simple yet is very patriotic! When my projects come together just how I envisioned them with no hiccups or very little rearranging it couldn’t make me happier! Crafting patriotic crafts are some of my absolute favorites to make, and I hope you enjoyed this Dollar Tree Wooden Patriotic Tag as much as I did making it! What do you think, will you give this craft project a shot?
