DIY Scrap Wood Firecrackers
I love anything Americana, and patriotic! I came up with this DIY Scrap Wood Firecrackers project just recently and couldn’t wait to get started! The best part was I didn’t need to go out and buy a bunch of supplies to make it, since I already had everything on hand. Follow along, I think you’ll love it as much as I did making it!

Supplies:
2 1×1 Scrap Wood Pieces
Paints- Almondine, Deep Burgundy, Deep Midnight Blue
Dark Walnut Stain
Rusty Wire
3 Wooden Stars

First, I drilled a small hole into the top of each of the scrap wood pieces.

Second, I painted one of the scrap wood pieces with the Deep midnight Blue Paint. Then I painted the second one with alternating stripes of the Almondine and Deep Burgundy Paints.

Third, I painted the wooden stars with the Almondine Paint.

Fourth, I glued the stars down the length of the Deep Midnight Blue scrap wood.

Fifth, I cut two lengths of the rusty wire, twisted it around the end of a paintbrush to create swirls and stuck them into the holes I drilled.

Finally, I gave both pieces a coating of the Dark Walnut Stain.

Here it is all finished, how do you think they turned out? I couldn’t be happier; they turned out just as I imagined they would! They’re so fun and definitely have that patriotic feel! I can’t wait to get these into the store, I think they’ll fly off the shelf! What do you think, will you be giving these DIY Scrap Wood Firecrackers a try? I’d love to see what you do!
