I love to create for the Fall months, and when I found this barrel top at the thrift store I knew I had to use it to make a wreath. When I find items like these at the thrift store I get so excited and can’t wait to get them home to make them my own! I hope you enjoy this Fall Barrel Lid Wreath and give one a try too!

Supplies:

Thrifted Barrel Top
Stain
Gather Sign – Dollar Tree
Leaf Tulle – Dollar Tree
2 Fall Floral Picks – Joann’s
Staple Gun
Fall Ribbon
Wire

First, I removed everything that came on the barrel lid leaving it bare.

Second, I stained the entire barrel lid and let dry.

Third, I stapled the two floral picks at the top of the lid.

Fourth, I used the Fall ribbon to create a bow and and stapled it onto the top of the barrel between the two floral picks.

Fifth, I painted the gather sign with Antique White paint and let dry. Once the sign was finished drying I used Mod Podge to secure the leaf tulle to it.

Sixth, I used an exact knife to trim the excess tulle off of the gather sign.

Seventh, I stapled a length of wire to the back of the gather sign. I used the “t” in gather because it was tall and hid the wire well, while also being in the center. I then wrapped the wire around the slat on the barrel lid and twisted to secure it.

Finally, I made sure the gather sign was centered to the top of the barrel lid just under the bow and floral picks.

Here is the final result, what do you think? I love the way this came out. Finding thrift store treasures I can turn into something of my own that comes out amazing is such an awesome feeling. I hope you enjoyed this Fall Barrel Lid Wreath too, and give one a try!
