Farmhouse Animal Shelf Sitter
I love to make craft projects that I can use the farmhouse theme with, and when I found this farm animal beaded hanger at my local Dollar Tree I knew I could make something perfect with it. My next stop was to Hobby Lobby where I found the perfect sign that gave me an amazing idea for this Farmhouse Animal Shelf Sitter, and it was even better because it was on clearance! That’s always a win in my book! I hope you follow along with this amazing project, and decide you would like to give one a shot too!
Supplies:
Hobby Lobby Clearance Sign
Dollar Tree Farm Animal Beaded Hanger
Buffalo Check Paper
Paints – Black and White
Twine
Sunflower
First, I painted the face of the sign, top of the base, and the middle bead with the white paint. I then painted around all the edges and the two remaining beads with the black paint.
Second, I applied Mod Podge to the face of the sign and covered it with the buffalo check paper, cutting off the excess.
Third, I deconstructed the farm animal bead hanger. I then took one of the black beads and two of the plain beads and painted those two with the white paint. Next I cut a length of twine and threaded the three beads, alternating colors onto it. I then tied the farm animal to the bottom end and pulled the top end through the hole at the top of the sign, tying it off in the back.
Fourth, I cut more twine and made a double bow with it around the top of the hanging beads.
Finally, I glued the sunflower to the center of the bow.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I love this project, it came out exactly how I envisioned it would, and I couldn’t be any happier! Some of my most favorite craft projects are farmhouse themed, and I think this has to be one of my favorites. It was so simple and came out amazing!
