Halloween Skeleton Birdcage
Who doesn’t love to make crafts for Halloween, I know I do! It’s so fun to get creative and for this holiday! When I found this birdcage at my local thrift store, I knew I wanted to make something for Halloween! I kind of had an idea but not all detailed out. I finally figured out what I wanted to make and I love how it turned out and it’s even better when I can take items that someone no longer had a use for and turn them into something amazing! Follow along with this Halloween Skeleton Birdcage, and hopefully give one a try for yourselves!
Supplies:
Thrifted Birdcage
Black and Copper Spray Paints
Skeletons – Dollar Tree
Spanish Moss
First, I took the birdcage outback and spray painted it with the Black spray paint.
Second, once the black paint dried, I gave it a coat of the Copper spray paint.
Third, I filled the inside tray with Spanish Moss.
Fourth, I took one of the skeletons apart and laid the pieces onto the Spanish Moss.
Fifth, I took a piece of twine attached it to the second skeleton and hung him from inside the top of the cage.
Sixth, I replaced the top of the cage to the base.
Finally, I took a bit more Spanish Moss and a small black bird and hot glued them to the top edge of the cage.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I love it, I think it came out amazing and exactly how I envisioned it! When my projects don’t hit any snags and they come out just like I want them too, nothing makes me happier! I absolutely can not wait to display this Halloween Skeleton Birdcage! It is so fun to look at, and I think it will be a big hit in my craft booth! So what do you think, will you be giving this craft project a try too?
