Nautical Seashell Crate

As many of you know, I love to find crafting supplies at the thrift stores. They always seem to have so many amazing things that people discarded for one reason or another. Whatever the reason, be it they no longer use it, or it’s old and rough looking I can always see the beauty of what it could become again. When I found this crate at my local thrift store, I had the perfect idea for it. Follow along with this Nautical Seashell Crate, you will not be disappointed!

Supplies:

Thrifted Crate
Shells and Drift Wood Pieces
Chalk Paint
Dollar Tree Fishing Net

First, I gave the entire crate a generous coating of the Chalk Paint.

Second, I laid the Dollar Tree fishing netting out over the crate.

Finally, I laid a bunch of different seashells out over the netting. There was no rhyme or reason, just placed them in anywhere.

Here it is all finished, how do you like how it turned out? I couldn’t be happier, and think it looks beautiful! There always seems to be somebody asking me to make something with a nautical theme, and when I am so glad I got to accommodate with this Nautical Seashell Crate. It took my hardly any time and I got to bring something discarded back to life while I was at it. It was a win all around! Do you think you’ll give this one a try for yourself?
