Rustic Dollar Tree Snowflake Winter Sign
When I found these snowflakes at my local Dollar Tree, I had the perfect craft in mind. My best friend asked me to make her a sign to hang for Winter time and I knew these would be amazing for it! Supplies:
Scrap Wood
Stain – Dark Walnut
Dollar Tree Snowflakes
White Paint
Spackle
Rusty Twisted Wire
First, I removed the hangers from the snowflakes and filled the holes in with spackle.
Second, I gave the scrap wood a nice coating of the Dark Walnut Stain.
Third, I painted the snowflakes with the White Paint.
Fourth, I drilled two holes into the top of the scrap wood. I then threaded the rusty wire through the holes and twisted the ends to hold it in place.
Fifth, I took an old toothbrush, dipped in White Paint and splattered it all over the wood.
Finally, I glued the snowflakes down the center of the wood.
Here it is all finished, how do you like how it turned out? I love this and can’t wait to get it over to my friend, I think she’ll love it too! It was so, so simple to make, and came out amazing! I think I may go back and get some more of the snowflakes and make a few more to take over to the store. I’ve always got scrap wood lying around for projects so that won’t be a problem.
