Sunflower Cow Hanger

I love when I can incorporate my napkin supplies into my craft projects! While I was digging through my many different types of napkins, I came across this sunflower cow napkin and knew I had to use it! I think this napkin is one of my absolute favorites, so I sat down and came up with this Sunflower Cow Hanger project! It’s so bright and fun and I know you’ll love it so, follow along, you will not be disappointed!

Supplies:

Fence Slat Piece or any scrap wood
Sunflower Cow Napkin
White Paint
Antique Wax
Twine
Raffia
Sunflower
Rusty Wire
Rusty Cow Bell
Mod Podge

First, I drilled two holes into the top of the scrap fence slat.

Second, I painted the entire piece with the white paint.

Third, I applied Mod Podge to the front of the fence slat, and opened the napkin over it so that the cow was centered. I then cut off the excess napkin.

Fourth, I cut a large length of the rusty wire, and twisted it up a little. I then fed each end through the holes I drilled spinning them at the ends to keep them in place.

Fifth, I used Antique Wax around the whole outer edge of the wood, and up onto the very edge of the napkin.

Sixth, I cut some twine and grabbed some raffia, tying both into bows making sure to thread the rusty cow bell onto it. I then gluing them to the top corner.

Finally, I glued the sunflower to the center of the bow.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I couldn’t be any happier with this project, I think it came out amazing! It’s so bright and cheerful, and I just love how fun the cow looks! This Sunflower Cow Hanger will definitely will be in my next restocking trip over to my craft booth! I have a feeling this one will be a huge hit! What do you think, will you be giving this one a try?
