I love going to thrift stores and finding super cute stuff to makeover. You can always find a little diamond in the rough that just needs a little extra TLC to bring it back to life. When I saw this cute little door when I was out thrifting I knew I could make it into something adorable. Follow along with me and check out this Thrift Store Farmhouse Door.

Supplies:
Thrift Store Door
Small Buffalo Check Ribbon
Small Wreath or Greenery
Hot Glue
Acrylic Paint- Black
White Chalk Paint
Sanding Block

I started out this project by painting the entire door with my black acrylic paint. This can take a couple coats to fully cover the door.

Once the black paint was completely dry, I went over it with my white chalkboard paint. Again this can take more than one coat. You want to make sure that you do not see the black through the white.

Once the white paint is dry its time to grab our sanding block. Go over the edges of the door to give a distressed look to the project. I even sanded a little bit of the door knob to make it look used.

Now if you are using greenery make your piece into a mini wreath. If you are using a mini wreath that is already made, you can skip over this step.

Using your small buffalo checked ribbon, run it through your wreath and over the top of the door. You want the wreath to look the way your Christmas wreath looks when you hang it on your front door.

Make a bow out of your checked ribbon and attach to the ribbon loop with a small dab of hot glue.

Once the glue on the bow is dry, your project is complete. This little door came out so adorable, I had a real fun time making it. I just knew when I saw it in the Thrift Store it was going to be an awesome project. Do you think you will make a Thrift Store Farmhouse Door?
