Thrifted Bird Sing Sign
On my latest trip into my local thrift store I came out with numerous different items that I thought would work well for craft projects I had come up with. When I found this Bird Sign, I knew it could be made over to be even cuter. I had a blast making this Thrifted Bird Sing Sign and I hope you decide you’d like to give one a go too!
Supplies:
Thrifted Bird Sign
Scrapbook Paper
First, I removed the bird plaque from the wood backing.
Second, I cut a piece of scrapbook paper to fit the size of the wood piece. I then used Mod Podge to secure the scrapbook paper to the wood.
Finally, I glued the bird plaque back to the center of the scrapbook covered wood.
Here it is all finished, what do you think of the final result? I couldn’t be happier, I think it looks beautiful. I ended up choosing a piece of scrapbook paper that had a very similar color to that of the bird plaque and I think they look amazing together, much better than the plain wood. There were only a couple of steps to this project, but I think they made all the difference to bring new life to this old sign.
