Thrifted Bunny Shelf Sitter
Who doesn’t love to craft with items that someone else decided they no longer had a good use for? I know I absolutely do, and that’s why I make weekly trips to my local thrift stores. There never seems to be a time I don’t walk out of those stores with at least one thing that had piqued my interest for a craft project! I can usually take one look at something and have a project come to me, and if not sometimes I’ll just buy it to have for later! When I found this bunny, I knew just what to make and scooped him right up! Follow along with this Thrifted Bunny Shelf Sitter you will not be disappointed!
Supplies:
Thrifted Bunny
Scrap Wood Piece
Antique Wax
White Paint
Scrapbook Paper
Dollar Tree Rub On Transfers
First, I painted the bunny with the Light Mocha paint.
Second, I traced the bunny onto the scrapbook paper, then cut it out.
Third, I used the Antique Wax and gave the scrap wood a good coating with it.
Fourth, I used Mod Podge to secure the scrapbook paper bunny to the wooden bunny. I then used the Antique Wax, and dabbed around the whole outside of the bunny.
Fifth, I glued the bunny onto the piece of Antique Wax covered scrap wood.
Sixth, I used the White paint to paint an uneven swipe across the front of the scrap wood.
Finally, I placed the Dollar Tree rub on transfers to the center of the white painted patch on the scrap wood.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I absolutely love this project, I think it came out amazing! I’m so glad I happened upon this bunny at the thrift store because he’s amazing!
