Thrifted Farmhouse Milk Can Makeover
Thrift store finds are some of my favorite supplies to make my craft projects with. I tend to find myself in the thrift store at least once a week, sometimes more. Things people no longer have a use for often times still have plenty of life left in them or maybe just need a small makeover to bring them back to life! That’s just what I did with this Thrifted Farmhouse Milk Can Makeover!
Supplies:
Thrifted Wooden Milk Can Cut Out
White and Black Paint
Farmhouse Stencil
Greenery
Buffalo Check Ribbon
Sunflower
First, I painted the milk can cutout with the Black paint.
Second, I placed the farmhouse stencil down the center of the milk can, then I used the White paint to stencil them on.
Third, I lightly sanded around the edges of the milk can.
Fourth, I cut a piece of the Buffalo Check Ribbon and tied it around the neck of the milk can.
Fifth, I cut more of the ribbon and formed it into a large bow. I then glued a piece of greenery onto the ribbon on the neck, and I finally glued the bow to the center of the previously placed ribbon.
Finally, I glued the sunflower to the center of the bow.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I absolutely love it, and couldn’t be happier with the finished result. I knew I made an excellent choice deciding to buy this thrifted item, and can’t wait to display it! Almost all the items I find at the thrift store need is a little tic and this one was no different.
