Ya’ll know I love to thrift store shop! I was out thrift store shopping the other day when I came across this HUGE apothecary jar, it was marked $4.99 with a green sticker. I was shocked because that was really cheap and a great deal, then when I got to the cash register, I saw that green stickers were half price!! Whoa, I am now getting this apothecary jar for $2.50!! WIN!! I walked out of there like I had stolen something, because I felt like I did LOL! They aren’t super expensive but $20 plus dollars for one jar is out of my budget. I didn’t know exactly what I was going to do with it, but as I drove home it came to me, I knew I wanted to fill it with lemons and greenery! I had the greenery but not the lemons….so off to Dollar Tree I went. Dollar Tree had no lemons just limes, 3 stores later and still no lemons. I decided to check prices at Hobby Lobby and lo and behold they has them for 9.99 a bag…ouch! However, they were on sale for 50% off, score! Then I came home to assemble my new to me thrifted lemon apothecary jar!

First thing I did was clean my jar and let it dry. then I cut small sprigs of boxwood that I had on hand, they came from Walmart for .97 cents, which is such a great deal also.

Once I had everything ready I just started filling the jar with the lemons and then tucking in the boxwood here and there in between. It was really easy!

I LOVE how it turned out! It is so bright, warm and happy! I am grateful that Dollar Tree was out of lemons, because the color and quality of the ones from Hobby Lobby were so much nicer! It truly made all the difference!

I’m so happy with my thrifted lemon apothecary jar!!
LOVE IT!!
