Thrifted Primitive Candle Sconce

Thrift store finds are some of my favorite materials to make my crafts with! I love when I find something nobody else wanted anymore that I can bring back to life, by either redoing that item or turning it into something else entirely. When I found this candle sconce at my local thrift store I knew just what I wanted to do with it, and couldn’t wait to get home and get started! I hope you fall in love with this Thrifted Primitive Candle Sconce as much as I did!

Thrifted Candle Sconce
Antique Wax
Vintage Mustard Chalk Paint
Pip Berry Ring
Grubby Candle

First, I painted the entire candle sconce with the vintage mustard chalk paint.

Second, I gave it a light sanding around all of the edges and the base.

Third, I gave the entire candle sconce a coating of the Antique Wax.

Fourth, I placed the pip berry ring around the candle holder.

Finally, I decided to also add a little Spanish Moss around the pip berry ring. I then added the grubby candle.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I couldn’t be happier with the final result of this project. The vintage mustard chalk paint along with the pip berry ring gave this no longer wanted thrift store candle sconce a new life, and it looks amazing! I can’t wait to get this craft project into my craft booth on my next trip over. I hope you loved this Thrifted Primitive Candle Sconce as much as I did making it and decide you want to give one a shot too!
