Let’s make another Dollar Tree super cute and EASY pallet flag, this time we are using Washi tape! I already made a pallet flag using a flag napkin you can see that here. Well, I found some cute Washi tape at Hobby Lobby made by The Paper Studio, and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it! So, lets make a Washi Tape Pallet Flag!!

Supplies:
Dollar Tree Pallet
Washi Tape
White Chalk Paint

First, paint your whole pallet with the white chalk paint and let it dry.

Second, start laying on your Washi Tape on the pallet. I used the blue stars on the left hand side top two slats. I went about half way across and cut it in a straight line using a razor blade. It took two strips of tape on each pallet slat, I made sure I lined up the stars so they wouldn’t overlap and they would all be even.

Third, using the red chevron design washi tape I repeated the same process as the blue stars on the rest of the pallet. This also took two strips of tape per pallet slat, again I made sure I lined them up so the pattern would match up and not over lap and cutting lines with a razor.
I used a nail file to remove any excess on the edges. Here you can see how I overlapped the tape, and I also let the tape wrap over the edges. Once I had all the tape on, I used my heat gun on it for a minute just to make sure everything was stuck really well. That is it. all done!!

How cute is this?! Such a cute addition to your tier tray!

I love how this turned out and it was so EASY, and quick to make! This is my first project I have done using Washi Tape, I think I will be using it more, its fun to work with! It comes in so many different designs, you can do so many things with it!

This project was so fun to make, do you think you’ll be making one? Hope you enjoyed this Washi Tape Pallet Flag! If you did enjoy it be sure to check out my posts below!

Super cute project! I was wondering about the chalk paint. Is it better than acrylic? Thank you!
creatingthroughchaos
Thank you! I like both, chalk paint has better coverage when painting over soemthing that had a design or painting on glass etc. I love acrylic paint for anything else; however I always buy a really good acrylic paint the quality is just so much better.
