Dollar General Deer Sign

When I was shopping through Dollar General and came across this deer ornament, I knew I could turn him into the perfect deer sign for Christmas and even all winter long. I had this Dollar General sign for a while and they fit just perfectly! There are so many Christmas craft ideas swimming around in my head that I can’t wait till I get all of them finished to show you! Follow along and decide if you’ll be making one of these for yourselves!

Supplies:

Dollar General Sign
Dollar General Deer Christmas Ornament
Textured Scrapbook Paper
Antique Wax
Twine
Ribbon

First, I gave the wood parts of the sign a coating of the Antique Wax.

Second, I cut a piece of the textured scrapbook paper to fit the sign and secured it with Mod Podge.

Third, I glued the deer Christmas Ornament to the center of the sign.

Fourth, I cut some twine and a piece of ribbon and tied each into a bow. I then glued them to the top of the ornament.

Finally, I added some of the Antique Wax to the edges of the sign.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I couldn’t be happier with the finished project, it came out just how I imagined it would. The deer ornament was the perfect find to complete this project. I can’t wait to get this Dollar General Deer Sign over to my craft booth, I think people will love it! So what do you think, will you be making one of these signs too?
